Personality: Bluntly honest, straightforward, and doesn't see the point in sugarcoating anything. She can be downright mean at times. However, she is also possessed of a silly streak a mile wide and loves to make jokes. She has very high self-esteem, so when people don't like her (which happens more often than not), she doesn't care too much. Not very energetic by default. Conspicuous lack of scruples. Doesn't like loud sudden noises. Introverted. Tends to not like other people by default, until they gain her respect. She is not blindly loyal to anyone or anything; she will question/disobey orders from anyone, even superiors, if they don't make sense to her or they go against her moral grain. She won't take charge of a situation unless nobody else wants to. Weakness/Flaws: Low to medium endurance - can't sprint for long distances. Bad at genjutsu. Intense sweet tooth. Lazy; usually only motivated to help on a mission if there's something in it for her. Less than stellar accuracy with throwing weapons. Can't tell if she's going too far with a joke/comment. Can be temperamental, and tends to get violent when angry or upset. Also, she's afraid of dogs, especially large ones, and usually climbs up the nearest object when they're around, be it a tree or a person. Strength/Skills: Incredible physical strength. Powerful at ninjutsu and jiujutsu. Very fast. Due to clan specialty - feline jutsus - she has enhanced senses of sight, hearing, smell, and balance, and is incredibly good at climbing/jumping around obstacles. Weapons: Kunai, cat familiar/companion Saku (fluffy black w/purple eyes, just like her owner. Normally the size of a housecat, but can grow big enough to comfortably ride on in battle) Number #1 Special Attack: Werecat no Jutsu: She molds as much chakra as possible and stores it, like a battery. She then transforms into a large, beastly black cat that is semi-humanoid and walks on its hind legs (kind of like a werewolf). In this form she has no higher mental functions and no chakra-molding ability (hence the need to store chakra before performing the jutsu), but plenty of raw strength. She mercilessly destroys everything in her path, friend or foe, until she runs out of the stored-up chakra and returns to her original state. The beast form is stronger if she performs the jutsu near the full moon, so she tends to save it until then.
History: Viothyst was born to a rather small family - her entire clan consists of herself, her parents, both grandmothers and a grandfather, an uncle (mother's side), and his son (her cousin, several years her senior). Theirs is a fairly new clan, and clan members tend to be secretive, so they and their abilities are not well-known. From the moment she was born, she was surrounded by the feline companions that are the hallmark of her clan, and she was given her own companion to begin training with, a kitten named Saku, at the age of 5. Because of this, she has an intimate and innate connection with Saku. When Viothyst was 7, she was busy training when a large wild dog attacked her. It bit her repeatedly and almost ripped her left arm off, but she managed to shove it off of her with a chakra-laced punch to the nose. Her parents heard the fighting and managed to kill the dog before it caused her any further harm. Although the bone and most of the wounds healed (and she got a rabies shot in time), she was left with a large series of scars down the upper part of her arm; the incident bred within her a deep-rooted and permanent fear of dogs. She graduated from the Academy at 11 years old, and became part of a team. Starting from when she was almost 15, her team participated in the Chuunin exams three times before she finally succeeded and became a Chuunin. She has now been a Chuunin for about a year, separate from her team.
